gburneau
I am getting my seat moved back. At 6'10" tall, although the Journey has ENOUGH leg room, it could be just a little bit better. Anyone else feel this way? I am getting seat brackets made that will allow me to move the seat back 3 - 4 " from the factory position, with no modification to the seat or to the vehicle. Remove the seat, install the bracket, put the seat back in. It is gonna ROCK !!!! I will post pics. Anyone interested, let me know.

Careful, we do some things with seating at work and all of our stuff is run thru DOT testing processes to validate we don't create any problems. gburneau
My seat brackets will be finished on Monday. I will take lots of pics and post them so you can see the difference from factory. If there is interest from others, I can get more of them made once the first set is complete. Possibly for other vehicles as well if anyone is interested.

Look forward to seeing the photos of them, as I mentioned in one of your other threads, At 5'-9" I doubt I'll have any use for them but I am still curious to see them. Elmwoodie
One mod that me (189 cm) and my short wife would love is an upgrade to our power seats that automagically moves them to one of two seating positions. Maybe as we approach based on our cell phone's bluetooth or something. I have to stand outside the car and move the seat before I can even get in the car as she jams it up against the wheel for herself. Not much fun in the dead of winter. That would be cool, but I don't believe the Journey even has that option. The only way I could see doing that would be to swap out the seat for one with memory, if the Journey has that option, and IF there are no additional wiring harnesses required to make it work. Would be a tough one. If you figure it out, let me know, it would be cool.
gburneau
Legroom extensions are complete!!!!!!! AMAZING. There is not a vehicle on the market with as much factory legroom as this thing has now. The best part, even with the seat back, because I can sit more upright now, my seatbelt is actually in a better position than the factory seat mounts allowed. I will post pictures in the next few days. If anyone is interested, there is a possibilty I can have more of them made. Let me know if you are interested. DavidHurst
Any luck with those pictures? Have you talked to anyone from vehicle/traffic safety about the modification of the seat position? I looked into doing this same thing a long time ago but was advised that If I changed the seat position past regulated safety standards and there was an accident then there may be complications with liability and coverage. Thanks
