NiceTrip
The only thing I didn't like about the Journey is that hideous cheap plastic not-quite-imitation-chrome bezel around the center stack. Especially the cheap plastic "real imitation chrome" latch for the cubby at the top, off which the sun glints right into the driver's eyes at times. I'd like to either paint it a flat color to match the rest of the dash (but don't want to ruin the only one I've got), or swap with the much nicer looking part from the R/T. However I expect it to be some time before such parts are readily available through normal channels, and they will probably be quite expensive. Anybody else hate that look? kconnors
NiceTrip, I agree that the center stack could be better designed and the R/T is nicer but it's nothing that I can't live with. There are always ways to make it look nicer such as custom paint, ordering the R/T covers or covering. Let your imagination run wild! In my case I will let it be for now and maybe it will grow on me. By the way every year they put more and more plastic in cars to make them lighter and more fuel efficent. Good Luck. Keith
watsonian
I had that same crap in my fleet vehichle Magnum. I popped it out, sanded, primed and painted with flat black. Matches perfect and got rid of the glare.
nycalisrt
Does anyone have the part# for the R/T center stack bezel?
Journeymann
I agree, the center stack bezel in my SXT is terrible. Makes the interior look cheap. Please let me know if the RT bezel will fit and how difficult it is to install. Saw some pics of the RT bezel & it looks a lot better. Rav Duque
in the Vmaxx Assessories string, there is a link to a web site that I believe it is called autoexclusives. in the section for interiors, it has a slick piano black trim kit that replaces all the cheap chrome pieces. I know I am going to get it
