gower2352
Well guys I am taking the plunge and I am trading in my 2008 Caliber with 14,000 miles in for a Dodge Journey. I really love the Journey and hope I'm making a good decision. I am young (19) but with college and everything is will just be better and gas mileage isn't all that bad either. Plus I could get the $2.99 gas program to. Let me know what you all think. BTW this is my first post here.
Snow_Runner
Welcome to the forum, what model/options are you looking at getting? Rick.
gower2352
Welcome to the forum, what model/options are you looking at getting?Rick. Well the Journey that arrived at the dealer came with a uninstalled leaking radiator and they are fixing that before I can take delivery. I believe it is an SXT Inferno Red. I'll def get back to everyone on the options though.
kconnors
Well gower2352 you did the same thing I did. I traded in an 07 Caliber with 26,000 Km (About 17,000 Mi) for a Journey. I really liked the Caliber too but once I took a test drive in the Journey there was no turning back. I had to have it! I'm surprised a young 19 year old would be interested in a Journey. Most of the young guys around here are driving sport cars or souped up Hondas, Madzas, etc.but good on you for making a sensible choice because the Journey has all the safety equipment you can think of plus it has a 5 star front and side impact rating plus 4 star roll over rating. Welcome and good luck. Keith

Welcome and good luck. Keith I used to drive our 1994 Full Size Dodge Ram Conversion Van as my primary vehicle. My friends loved that thing and we even took it to Senior Week in Myrtle Beach. It will be nice to go back to something a little bigger and something that can hold more people comfortably. I've never really cared to much for sports cars and I really love the Caliber I just wanted something a little bigger and the Journey is awesome. The one I am getting doesn't have the third seat which is good because I will rarely use the second seat in it LOL.
Snow_Runner
AHHHH Myrtle Beach....I remember many years ago after graduating from College, going there to blow off some steam!!! Although I agree with Keith, There was a large group of us, all in rather large fuel guzzling pick-up trucks driving from Ontario to S.C. I guess times have changed. Gower, why was the rad not installed on the vehicle? Make sure that there were no other "parts" missing, or fluids drained. Rick.

Snow_Runner
Gower, what didn't get welded on your Journey??? Was it a recall, or something really obvious that they found on the PDI? It would be interesting to check mine. Rick.

jceew71475
I too just traded in my 2007 Caliber for a Journey SXT... It's the best thing I've ever done! I love it!!!!! I had been watching and waiting for the Journey since last summer when I first started getting emails from Dodge about it. You will not regret your decision.
