2011mainmango Posted May 8, 2011 Report Share Posted May 8, 2011 We will be getting our Journey soon and was wondering who has run or is running e85 ethanol in their 3.6 pentastars(it's a flex fuel engine). was wondering if you guys got any performance gains, and which one saves more money because ethanol is a lot cheaper, but ethanol decreases your mileage a lot. Armendegga Posted May 9, 2011 Report Share Posted May 9, 2011 I think I read on here that using the e85 will cut your mileage by about 1/3. So unless the price is at least that much cheaper, it isn't really worth it. I don't recall seeing any posts about performance gains though.
