Halim johnson
My car was driving and starting fine, then I pulled into the gas station and turned off the car then it wouldn't start again. A mechanic said it is the starlter and he would charge me $260 to fix it. He told me the starter costs $165. Is that a good price to fix it? Is that a good price for the starter? SaskGuy
I dont know which engine you have, so it is hard to compare prices. I checked rockauto.com and the starter for a 4 cylinder 2.4 was close to that price, so $165 seems fair. $95 labor is not out of line either. As long as the starter is the problem, that price should be fine.
