camley88
I got a new 2011 Journey R/T last month and lately the car has had a problem sensing the key in my pocket. Until last night, it was only the locking/unlocking function but last night while I was driving, the message display said the key had left the vehicle! Anyone else have a problem or know what to do? Thanks
drb227
Have not had that problem myself. Have you tried the other key fob? If they both do the same thing, then the problem is with the system. If the other fob works ok, then it is either a bad battery or something wrong with the fob itself.
derfnl
My first reaction would be to change the battery. Even through the car is brand new, that battery could have sat on a shelf in Hong Kong for a few years
Powdered Toast Man
Do you have your cell phone in the same pocket as your key fob? I discovered that my iPhone was interfering with the signal from my key fob when entering the vehicle. The doors won't unlock when I touch the handle if my phone is in the same pocket as the key.
