managerman
Hello! Thought I would post a few pictures of my new Black 2011 Dodge Journey R/T!! Was very happy with this purchase! Got a fantastic deal...31,360 list....out the door for 25,300! I wanted the 8.4" Uconnect (Not many around) and I was able to find one about 75 miles from my house! Went to the dealer and they were great! They got the car in one day. I detailed the car inside and out...and gave it the first coat of wax. Turned out pretty good.... Ordered the rear cargo mat, and also some new HIR Headlights...I have not installed them yet, but supposed to be way better than Silverstars and similar to HID without all the cost and hassle..I will take photos of that install... (Here is info...HIR Bulb Info) Will be ordering the Dodge side sill protectors and mud flaps..... Here are some pictures...(My dogs decided to be in the photo shoot!!) Enjoy! Armendegga
Welcome to the Journey family! That's awesome you were able to find one that came with the 8.4! Those are in short supply now! Also - your link is broken for the HIR bulbs I've actually never heard of them before now... do they actually work as advertised? humansoul
Welcome...black was my first colour choice, but fell in love with the white colour..plus they only had the 8.4" Crew version in white and I knew it was very limited due to the demand on that 8.4" screen. Mind sharing your waxing techniques on the car? Car looks awesome, that reflection is crazy! Congrats on the purchase...amazing price too! Windancer
Hello! Matt Congrats on your new car. I notice in this photo you had a rear bumper protector, did this come with the car or di you add it on later? @ Humansoul, Black is an awesome colour, looks great clean but very hard to keep clean. My convertible PT Cruiser was black and I was forever cleaning it. I eventally went with a white one and for the most part I am very happy. See Once again Matt, congrats on you car , it is very nice. Enjoy........as I know you will. BTW good looking dogs, I have 2 golden retrievers. Terry Edited September 13, 2011 by Windancer
bigtsr
I think the rear bumper just looks like it has a cover especially with the DJ being black, that's the way the 2011's look stock,

The vehicle so far has been great. Taking it on a 220 mile trip to see my daughter in college on Friday. Looking forward to seeing how the highway mileage is.... No special techniques on wax. Just a really thorough wash and then I use Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 liquid. I do this three consecutive weeks and then the car is ready for the winter. Windancer...there is not a bumper guard on the rear bumper....just appears that way from the reflection...I wish I could find one of those that is not 200.00.... bigtsr
Here is the bumper guard I settled on made by PowerFlow and cost $38.00 CAN. While it doesn't cover as much as I would like it will provide some protection.
