HITESH
I bought a new 2010 Dodge Journey SXT FWD in February of 2011. Had vibration on the steering while braking anywhere from speed 50 on, at 10,000 km did the oil change and complained to the dealership they replaced FRONT ROTORS. Problem really did not go off, last week at second oil change complained of VIBRATION once again they replaced the FRONT ROTORS. Went back 2 days after and the Service Mgr took a trial with me and said it is not the front but rear, this time they changed the REAR ROTOR. Still the problem did not go off, went back yesterday once again they replaced the REAR ROTOR. Still the steering vibrates like crazy while applying brakes from speed 80 on went back to the dealership this morning and the Service Mgr said he really cannot think of any solution but will have to call CHRYSLER and get back to me in 2-3 days. I have no clue what's going on, please suggest a solution. benzi06
mrlux
If they change the rotors and then put the the wheels back on with an impact wrench they are probably warping the new rotors. Chrysler rotor are known to do this. When you have your tires changed have them use a torque wrench and hand tighten to specs.

THANKS, But after the rotor change I got the tire's balanced just incase, right in front of me and they hand torqued it but still the same problem. Armendegga
If all the rotors have been replaced, and the tires were balanced, the only logical thing left is possibly the brake pads? If the issue is still occurring though after the dealer replaced the rotors, keep on them to fix the issue!
benzi06
I also have a 2010 sxt fed ,I also have that problem ,,,I went out and bought a whole set of new rotors with ceramic brakes...stills does it..I'm thinking it's in the front end. Maybe tie rods or something,,I have a good friend that's a mechanic. I will get a answer from him. I don't trust the guys at the dealer ship... jst216
Brakes are a big issue for this car, I have a 2009, the only way to make go away is to replace with aftermarket, ie EBC or POWERSLOT. If the issue is there after all that, have them check your tie rod ends, one of mine almost fell off after a long trip. Of course I am out of warranty, but I had to call Michigan during my under warranty brake issues because they didnt want to cover it since was of the 12,000 mile wear warranty.
