knique0
We finally made our choice for a new car. The lovely Journey R/T you see here! It's a perfect fit. We needed a 7 passenger that was still fun to drive, looked sharp, was under 30k, and had a technology package. We've had it for about 3 weeks now and love it. Driving around Chicago is a breeze. My only issue so far is the 12.5mpg city fuel usage. I really hope this improves, though I do really like reeving this great engine. To that note, before I spend hours poking around, can any of you point me in the way to some HP upgrades for this great V6? Thanks and I'm glad there is a community out there for us! bigtsr
Love the deep cherry red glad I made that choice also. I have had mine on the road for abt 5 weeks now and city it gets 21 mpg US, of course I am not hauling around the AWD gear. It's not a drag car be prepared for less mpg if your enjoying the acceleration of the Pentastar v6 and try to stay away from the manual shift mode. I plan to switch to Mobile 1 synthetic first oil change and that should improve mpg also.
redtomatoman
I have the same color. Stunning. I've had mine since June and I get around 23 mpg on the highway, around 18mpg in town. I'm no hot rod'er, though. I have to respectfully disagree with the manual shift mode. I like it. If you need to beat that car next to you at the red light, use the manual shift just like a manual transmission. I also commonly use the manual shift for passing. Get behind the car you need to pass in 4th, then drop that baby into 3rd for a roaring burst of power. So far I really like my Journey. I hope the reliability is as good as my 1991 Dakota has been. Time will tell. Enjoy yours. Peace.
