I been looking at buying a used DJ but most I read is bad about them.

I know most of the time what most pepole will write is whats bad not the good so take wht you hear with a grain of salt.

So what is the real skinny about the DJ is a good car or realy junk.

Is there better years to get and which year to stay away from.

Is the 3.5 or the 3.9 motor a better deal I had a 3.5 in my 2006 1500 ram it was under powered but I thinlk the truck just weighted to much for the motor.

I have a 2001 Ford expendition now that get 13 MPG on a good day it a nice car but it's time for a newer car.

And I have read mixed on MPG on the DJ whats the truth.

Hey there Marvin!

Not alot bad to say about my DJ. I am quite happy with it. I know what I would by diffrent but it would not be the car its self. Just options I would add to it.

Good car in my books. I went from a 2006 Durango Hemi to the 2010DJ due to my Durango being taken from me in a auto accident. To me the only thing missing is the power... All else is great. I went with buying a used one so I escentially had no chice in options it had. All I want to add the cold start option to mine. That essintially is all I feel I need to add to it. Would like more power but I guess I am stuck with the 183hp it has which is ok for now. As for yout 1500Ram... Big problem with that small motor but is is a diffrent animal in the Journey. If I were in your shoes, I would go to the dealer and test drive the snot out of them! See what kinda deal they would give you on trade for the Ferd. I probably doubled my milage going from the 5.7Hemi to the Journey. I avarage 550km on 60L of fuel. Have never sat and worked out the milage I am getting but I really am happy with how it is so I am not worried about it.

Hope this might help you alittle.

Thanks for the input so far still looking at the DJ I kmow I want the V-6 If I can find a deal on a 2011 I go that route.

But I tired of high car payments that why the DJ is a good deal so far they dont cost $30000+.

How about the brakes I read lots bad or it the drivers that ride the braqkes or on them hard are the ones saying they war out fast.,
