drb227
Congrats! I have a white 2011 Crew with Flexible Seating and Navigation and Sound Group. I got mine at Paul Willison Chrysler. Which dealer did you order from? What options did you get?
Teambedlam
Although i live near Paul Wilson, i ended up purchasing it from Agincourt Chrysler. I ordered a Crew package in Brilliant Red Tricoat Pearl with the 7 pass seating, the 8.4 Uconnect with bluetooth and the upgraded speakers with Sub. Now all i can do is wait for it to arrive Congrats! I have a white 2011 Crew with Flexible Seating and Navigation and Sound Group. I got mine at Paul Willison Chrysler. drb227
Don't expect too much from the upgraded sound system. I have it and am not all that impressed with it. The up-level sound system I had in my 2007 Caliber was much better.
Teambedlam
Well then it's a good thing that I'm not expecting the system to win me awards. If that was my goal, id install a custom system or hook up my DJ gear I'm sure it will be better then not having a sub? This waiting for the factory will be quite difficult Don't expect too much from the upgraded sound system. I have it and am not all that impressed with it. Teambedlam
Thanks guys. There is something to be said about taking a 2 hour old car and pulling off interior trim panels. The installation of the lockpick took about an hour but most of that was me not being sure how much force it needed to pull off the radio panel. It also took a bit to figure the best way to route the lockpick harness so that the radio could go back in. I also bought one of the cameras from Coastal and installed that yesterday. The wiring harness that came with the camera is not long enough to get all the way into the rear hatch. The other issue is that you have to feed it through the rubber sleev that goes from the car to the rear hatch. The connectors on the harness will never fit through so i had to take the second harness (from front camera that i bought) and cut off the amount needed to get all the way to the camera. Tonights job is to snake the cut end through the rubber tube and then resolder connectors on so that i can hook up the camera and finish hiding the cables and replace the trim panels. I did hook the camera up to test its quality and that what i had already installed works. The image quality is good during the day but at night you can certainly tell that this is an $80 camera. I may do some research into a better camera but it certainly does the job. I've only had the car for 36 hours but alrady I am very happy with my selection and enjoy the compliments regarding the Brilliant Tricoat Red paint. Jod
What in the world is a "lockpick" other than what I am thinking of as the tools used to actually pick a lock????
air1rfc
The lockpick information can be found here: http://www.coastaletech.com/LOCKPICKC8.htm It is device that is added to the radio. It allows you to bypass functions normally blocked by Dodge such as watching a DVD while the car is moving. Entering Nav information while driving. It has few other features as well. All the information is at the link above.
Teambedlam
the lock pick also let me add in a rearview camera for a fraction of the cost of the factory system. It also give me an AUX in to use portable media devices as a source for the Dash screen.
Jod
Thanks. I did not know that there was aftermarket products such as these available. Watched the short video install video for the Journey; does not get much easier than that.
