lytefall
Any have a tut or video showing how to remove the shift knob on a 2009 SXT? I would love to see this as well. From everything I have read it jut pulls straight off with some force. I just don't want to break anything.

You might want to but it in neutral to move it out of the path of the dash, so you dont accidentially hit it when it comes off. It is a piece of cake to do though. lytefall
So there are no set screws or springs etc? The underlying shifter post is just a straight post then? How does this work when replacing the knob? Can you use just a standard manual shift knob or do you need a shift knob specifically designed for an automatic? Thanks
nocturnal
Thanks for the info! Just saved me a ton of time after my kids busted a sweet and sour sauce cup inside the shift area. Major pain in the butt cleaning this up.
