WayneH
Hi, I have just bought a new Dodge Journey R/T (2011 model) and whenever i press the brake pedal it is very spongy and there is a hissing noise. What i'm wondering is if this is normal?? I have asked the dealership but I just keep getting the girl on the front desk and she just says she will find out from the service department... I know spongy brakes sometimes means there is air in the pipes somewhere, but i've never experienced the hissing sound before??? Thanks for any advice... bigtsr
Definitely not the way brakes on my 2011 DJ work or sound. You are getting the run around,I know dealers can far and few between in Australia but maybe you need to park it across their service bay doors and demand serious consideration. Call your Aussie Chrysler main office and complain.
Armendegga
Don't take chances with the brakes. If the dealer will not look at it, call Chrysler Customer Service.

DVLISH
We are experiencing something similar. Seems that when the car gets left out in the cold this happens. if you come to a slw stop you hear a massive amount of air. the low tire pressure light is also on. don't know if its just coinsidence or not. What did you find out with yours?
