lovetheroad
Just finished a 1500 mil round trip across two days to Alabama and back. I've only had the Journey for a month and love the way it drives and handles. This trip was Interstate driving for about 97% of the trip. Mileage averaged 26.5 mpg. Great road trip car without any issues. Route was mixed mountainous and flat. The transmission worked best as manual shift in the heavy mountain areas. I would hold the accelerator steady and drop back to 5th to make hill climbing easy. Then at the top I would bump it back to 6th till the next large hill. This process worked great and eliminated the accelerator pushing to get the drop down for added power. It would seem to bog down a bit that way so that is why I switched to the gear selector - much smoother and easier on the foot! Ride was very smooth and controlled. One area had a strong cross wind going. I could feel it but it wasn't knocking the vehicle around. I've felt worse in the 2004 Grand Caravan. The only thing I wish the car had was a way to hang the gas cap when filling up. Right now it just hangs on the body and I know over time that will equate to scratches. Anyone have idea on how to get around that...?
bigtsr
Try using the small hook already provided on the bottom inside of the gascap door. If it's not long enough put a piece of small silicone hose or heat shrink over the existing hook use hair dryer for heatshrink.

But c'mon Dodge - you can do better than this...
jaymista
I just purchased a white 2012 Dodge Journey SXT Crew. My 2009 Journey SXT had over 100,000 kms. and I wanted one with the new V6 engine. I've only driven it for 2000 kms. and it has been ok on the road so far. It seems to be more truck-like than my 2009 was.
