Eric Meyers
I just changed the oil to Amsoil full synthetic 3,000 miles ago and the change oil message is already coming on every time I start the car. There is NO way I need to change my oil yet, and I'm NOT going to. But I don't want to hear that ding every single time I get in the car. There has to be a way to reset it. Anyone have the scoop on this? Any technicians on here know any tricks? I can get 10,000 - 15,000 miles out of an oil change with Amsoil full synthetic, there is no reason that message should be coming on so soon. And there is no reason I should have to deal with it every single time I turn the car on. Thanks for any help in advance.
Powdered Toast Man
Try reading your owner's manual. The answer is in there.
Eric Meyers
I did. I have an '09 and I didn't find an answer. Thanks though.
Eric Meyers
Never mind. I'm reading it again and I think I found it. We'll see if it works.
OhareFred
I've got an 09 and do the same thing. All you have to do is place the key in the "on" position without starting the car, press the gas pedal 3 times in a row quickly, then turn the key off. It should reset. It is in the owners manual though.
