Sander Zwart
We just or owners of a Journey 2.4 SXT and we already have a problem with our Journey. When we start the engine the following hapens: - the fuel indicator says no more fuel but the fuel tank is half filled; - the RPM indicator says no RPM, but the engine is working; - the speedometer says no speed, but we are driving.. - there is a alarm bieb; - a lot of warning lamps are burning. After a while the situation is over and there are no problems. Turn of engine does not help. Can anybody tell me what the cause is? Computer problems? Thanks in advance. Sander Update: I get a notice in the dahboard; no bus. Edited December 23, 2011 by Sander Zwart
bramfrank
It could be a fuse. I could be computer issue or it could be a loose connector to the gauge cluster (in no particular order, though I would check for a burned fuse before doing anything else). I suspect your dealer will need to check it out.

bigtsr
What year Journey is it? The reason I ask is that marginal battery can cause many funny faults.
Armendegga
That is completely bizarre. It's almost like there's a short somewhere or something that's causing it. You should try taking it into the dealer for sure.
Sander Zwart
The Journey is from 08-2008. 103.000km
bigtsr
2008 and if it is original battery that could be your culprit as they seldom are reliable past 3.5 yrs given your climate.
