wrxz24
Just wanted to introduce myself to this message board. Just bought a Storm grey pearl crew with heated leather and sun roof. I was able to get EP pricing as my grandfather was a retired Chrysler employee. So far so good with it so far. About ready to buy 17 inch rims and snow tires as these 19's won't cut it here in Vermont. I didn't realize how expensive these tires are going to be when they have to be to replaced. I going to need a co-signer....
generaltso
Another Storm Grey Crew in Vermont! Welcome to the forum! I just picked mine up less than 2 weeks ago. I went with 18" wheels and snow tires from Tire Rack for the winter. What part of VT are you in?

generaltso
East Montpelier. You? Where did you buy yours? I got mine at Goss Dodge. I'm in Colchester, so not too far from you. I got mine at Goss also. They didn't have one on the lot that had everything I wanted, so I ended up ordering one from the factory. I do remember seeing a Storm Grey one on the lot though that was close to what I wanted. That's probably the one that's now yours! I'll keep an eye out for you on the road. You should be easy to spot since I've yet to see another Journey on the roads around here

I found some 17's and tires that came off another Journey and the guy wants 600 bucks. The rims are alloy and tires are Dunlop winter sp's. Yeah, I haven't seen any other Journey on the roads either. They don't know what they are missing. I am really digging the 3.6 engine. I am coming from driving a wrx and I am satisfied with the power with this car. Basically, I got every option except the Smoker's Group and Leather. It came with the Chrome Clad Wheels, but I had the dealer swap them for the regular Crew alloys because I like them better than the chrome. These are the wheels I got from Tire Rack (along with Michelin X-Ice Xi2 tires and TPMS sensors). http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&winter=0&initialPartNumber=F1012735S&wheelMake=Sport+Edition&wheelModel=F10&wheelFinish=Silver+Painted&autoMake=Dodge&autoModel=Journey&autoYear=2012&autoModClar=Crew&tire=26TR8WS70&qty_front=4 I paid a lot more than $600, so that sounds like a great deal that you're being offered. Do the Dunlops have a lot of tread left? Do they come with TPMS sensors? If the answer is yes, that's a great deal.

They ended up putting 235 65 r17 on American Racing ATX black rims. Real nice looking. I was also able to dicker him down to 500. I made out for sure. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelMake=ATX&wheelModel=Assault&wheelFinish=Black+w/Mach+Lip&partnum=AX3247882BML Edited January 2, 2012 by wrxz24

wrxz24
Nice! You definitely did very well. I see on your avatar that you have a bug deflector. Did you get that at the dealer or buy it somewhere else? Also, have you ever used that 3m clear protection film? I am thinking of putting it on my rocker panels. These salt and sand roads do a number on the rocker panels. http://www.amazon.com/Trimbrite-BodyGuard-Clear-Smooth-Protection/dp/B000HNFCHQ/ref=pd_sim_auto_1
generaltso
I got the bug deflector from Amazon. It's Weathertech, not the Mopar one. I didn't like the way the Mopar one didn't protect past the hood, which is why I went aftermarket. I just posted a bunch more pics in my gallery if you want to check out more. I've never used the 3M film, but I know a couple people who have and they swear by it.
