AcadianJourney
So we're looking a replacing our 1999 Grand Cherokee and we've been looking at the Journeys. I found a dealer sale for a 09 SXT AWD, 5 passenger, heated seats and dual air with 85000kms. On the road with an added 3yr/60k bumper to bumper I would pay out the door, just under 21000$. To me, when I compare everywhere else, it seems like a good deal. Sure I'm paying for the warranty, but with all the electrical in vehicles nowadays, I rather be protected. I could get it for 19400 with the 2yr/40k. These are in canadian $$ What do you all think? Overpriced? Steal? Average? The tires are not too bad, the front are basically new, the rear are about 60%...I find it weird that a awd model has tire wear like this....will it explode the viscous coupler in the transfer case HAHA.... Any input is appreciated! Thanks Derek
OhareFred
Well, I bought a 09 R/T front wheel drive in July of 08 and paid about 24,000 US. That came with a lifetime extended warranty (1400 US) so 21,000 seems a bit high to me BUT I also was buying from a dealer that was going to be dropped by Dodge/Chrysler (too small) so maybe thats why I got it so cheap. Pretty happy with it so far, except for brake problems (they wear out like mad) and crappy 19 inch rims and tires. Other then that I have been pretty much problem free. Have your tried looking online at used, not to buy but to compare? Maybe up North cars are pricer! Just my opinion! Good luck in you quest! AcadianJourney
Yeah, I've seen some on kijiji close to the price or slightly less, but either they were fwd or had more than 100k, therefore no chance to buy an extended warranty. Isn't everything up north more $$$ :-p :shades: ???
