AggsFan
I don't have a lot of faith in "performance" chips. So, I thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas/mods to get a few more HPs out of the four cylinder.
bigtsr
Yes the so called performance chips for Chrysler World engines are at best a rip off,a few fellows with Calibers tried them and gained nothing but less mpg and rough running engines. The 4 cyls at best appreciate a custom exhaust header, free flow air intake and mod to exhaust system. The 2.4 L (at least in the Caliber) had a special exhaust header and a perfomance one was not availiable.
paxmaster2000
is the tigershark 2.4 in the new dodge dart the same as the 2.4 in the 2011,2012 journey. i read that is the rt model and it has 10 more hp . i also read that there is going to a stage three kit that puts it into the 210. bigtsr
From the pics of the new Dart I have seen on the net it uses a Fiat based engine and not the 2.4 World Engine which is Hyundai,Mitsibushi,Chrysler hybrid.
redtomatoman
The way to get more horsepower is to trade your Journey in for a 3.6L model. . . Or get a Toyota Corolla. Its much quicker than your Journey. :hysterical2: 3.6L = Way more HP with very little (if any) mileage penalty. . . Peace.
pcrmike
Actually the 2.4RT Dart is a Tigershark-rework of the World engine. The 1.4 is a Fiat and the 2.0 and 2.4 are Ma Mopar. Edited August 15, 2012 by pcrmike
tstone
What about a turbo conversion, like the SRT-4 Caliber engine?
