evanhewer
I'm a proud new owner of a BLACK 2012 Journey Crew and absolutely love everything about it thus far, but I know im not the only one that will agree that there are always ways to make a new car better looking then it already is. My question to anyone out there that can help is, where would be the best place to order a set of chrome door handles and mirror covers to??? Also if anyone has installed them themselves, how did you find it? Another thing, if anyone has any ideas for exterior mods I can do on my journey I'd love to hear them. bramfrank
Does anyone sell door handle covers with the cutout for the lock switch?
bigtsr
Never thought of that good point! I guess seeing their plastic (at least the ones I've seen) some judicious measuring and sharp drill bit/Dremel tool would do the job of custom fitting. symbasys
Does anyone sell door handle covers with the cutout for the lock switch? Check eBay. I bought a set of chrome door handle covers without the lock button holes, but I have seen ones for sale with them. Mine were $20 for the set of four. The fit is "okay", but not perfect. I also got a set of chrome mirror covers on eBay for $47/pair including shipping. They fit perfectly.

Windancer
Does the Crew not come with chrome door handles in Canada? I think only the R/T has chrome door handles at least that is how it was 2010......unfortunately. I have chrome door handles, step bars, mirror caps etc as well as a chrome gas cover and chrome edging on my sunroof and hood air deflector as well as my valance. Geer
I installed Mopar mirror caps and R/T fender emblems, as well as filler cap. Didn't have to add the handles since they come with the R/T standard. My advice: take the double sided tape from the mirror kit and throw it in the garbage. It will stick for a month or two, then lose its tack and the mirror cap will come loose. I used 4 or 5 dabs of silicone RTV on the mirror housing - works much better and has a tenacious grip. Also allows water to drain out (and trust me, water will get in between the housing and the cap). Don't go crazy with the RTV or you'll never get the cap off should one need to be replaced. I can't seem to find a single one. I'm not seeing any now either... could be I was imagining it. Come to think of it, those buttons are fairly flush to the handle, so a cover wouldn't necessarily work all that well. They sell replacement chrome plated handles (not covers), but again I don't know if they are available with the lock button pads.

I guess the best bet is to contact mopar or the dealership and ask if you can get the chrome R/T handles with the buttons or not.

Did you find when you installed the chrome filler cap that it wasn't flush with the vehicle like the original and it stuck off more on the top? I reinstalled it numerous times to see if I made a mistake while installing it but it came out with the same result each time.
kramer
Hi folks. I believe i found the right chrome handle covers here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/170834486985?item=170834486985&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:eRTM:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr They says it fits only the 2010 Journey, but i believe the only difference are the lock switch, wich these do have, so i guess they would fit a 2012. Is that right, or the shape of the handles are also different?

Rubberdude88
Try this link for those items http://www.autoxclus...03f45554465537f Great site. Thank you for letting us all know. I like the fact that all the products tend to be German bulit rather than "Made in China" as we are all so use to seeing on almost everything we buy. Maybe we should have a "sticked" thread which lists reputable suppliers of Journey accessories - when someone finds a new site, let an admin know and it could be added to the list??? Just an idea for Admin to think about. Thanks again for the link. Already have a couple of items on my "wish list"
