symbasys
Hello, I have just bought my MyGIG REZ NTG4 Low Speed Bus on Ebay, this model is to Europe I will assemble into a Journey that has an original CD player with UConnect. Is there anything I need in addition to and get it in and work in the car? Greeting an happy owner Journey from Norway The Journey uses a HIGH speed bus, so a low speed radio will NOT work. You can check compatibility with all radio models here: http://www.wkjeeps.com/MyGIG_parts.htm#PARTS I just installed an RBZ MyGIG in mine - pretty much plug & play, fits in the dash perfectly with no modification, and harnesses plug right in. But... be sure to disconnect your negative battery cable first if you have the anti-theft alarm! I found out that the second you disconnect the wiring harnesses from the back of the existing radio, it will set off the car alarm. Pressing the disarm button on the fob won't turn it off either. I had to find and pull the fuses (there are two) for the horn until I got the new radio connected. Next time I'll know better! I had the dealer-installed uConnect Bluetooth module on my old REQ radio, and it plugged into the MyGIG and worked flawlessly. It even retained my phone pairing and address book... of course it might have done that because I didn't disconnect the battery... so your experience may be different. 19InBlkJrny
symbasys is right, all journeys are high-speed and a low-speed unit won't work at all!
