Aiming Headlights

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I came across this, quite by accident, while installing HID lights on my 09 Journey.

On the top, inner side of the headlamp housing I saw the words "up" and "down" with an arrow close to a Phillips head screw. As it turns out, that is how you adjust the up/down aim of the headlamp! I didn't see where the left/right adjusting screw was, but I'm sure it's similar. I tried to attached 2 photos of the passenger side housing, but they are too large (950 k). If someone tells me how to upload them, or pm me you email, I'll send them to you.Hope this helps someone out! :D

For a PC, open a photo you want to upload with Paint (right click on the photo and choose open with). Go to Image at the top. Choose Stretch/Skew. In the Stretch area, choose whatever percentage you wish to reduce the photo to in both the Horiz and Vertical. Save it on the desktop and upload it from there. After it is uploaded, drag it to the trash. Do the same for subsequent photos you wish to reduce in size to upload.

I'd like to see where these adjusters are.

Peace.

Tell ya what, PM me your email and I can send them to you. I'm done trying to post pics here! I obviously am doing something wrong because I keep getting an error message that the pic is to large. Im happy to help but don't have time to play around with trying to post a pic.
