Hitch on 2012 without cutting bumper

I put a hitch on my 2011...It was a Curtis/Hidden Hitch...it has a higher tow rating then the Dodge Hitch and drops below the bmumper when installed. It's a tight fit around the spare tire...and I got away from the veritcal hitch. I would assume that the frames on the 2011 are the same as the 2012.

Yeah I don't like how the non oem hitches stick out. I want a factory but really don't want to cut the bumper. I don't care about tow rating. It will only be used to haul bikes.

Woodsey, do you still have your factory hitch?

I got a factory hitch put on my 2012 R/T in Feb.

they did need to cut the bumper a bit, but it's not really a issue for me, as the factory hitch is still hidden alot more than the aftermarket ones.

You did talk about carring bikes........remember the normal bike rack for the 2" reciever is not going to work on the factory journey hitch.

My dealer also just ty-rapped the 4-pin trailer plug through the opening on the hitch for the 7-pin plug, I will need to order the insert for the proper fit and finish myself.....Caper....

Anyway you can post up a pic?

I like that you can't see the factory hitch without anything in the receiver.

I could use a bike rack with the right adapter.

I don't need to worry about the trailer lights.

Thanks for the reply
