sexyRTboi
Hey Everyone! - Im Mike, and Im eagerly awaiting delivery of my new 2012 Journey R/T AWD in white! (delivery date set for this coming Friday the 29th) I've been apart of many forums over the years, active on some ... a reader on others. Ive always owned Cavaliers and Sunfires growing up so I was very active with the J-Body Club of Ontario (JCO for short) but alas, the time has come and I've found myself growing up and moving away from the car mod scene and into my respectable late 20's - lol - Im currently trading in my 07 Mazda6 iSport (black on black hatch) for "Jolene" as I have named her, Ive only had my Mazda6 since the fall and absolutly love her to death but I got a deal I couldnt refuse on the Journey - so bye bye 6. Before the 6 was a Caliber that I owned for a whopping 4 mths .... just absolutly could not stand the CVT transmission ... what a piece of junk! Anyways, I work in healthcare as an overnight Charge Nurse in a facility for Seniors with varying degrees of Dementia and Alzheimers ... Im married to my job but somehow find time for my fiance as well. 3 dogs and a cat ... and love to spend my odd weekend off hanging out with buddies, having a few drinks and dancing our faces off at the club. Look forward to learning all I can and being an active member on this forum! Happy PRIDE this weekend in Toronto!
leaffan766
Hopefully the 2012 are much better then the 2010. I have a 2010 with 25000 km on it and it has had all 4 brake pads and rotors replaces and had the engine pretty much rebuilt. Do not like it at all
sexyRTboi
hey thanks - yea everything ive read (and ive researched ALOT) test drove everything from GMC Envoys, Ford Edge, 09 Journeys (which i love btw) ... I believe the 2012's are vastly improved over the previous models but time will only tell .... I did spring for the extended warranty however taking it from 3yr/60K -> 5YR/100KMS just to ensure my basis are covered. My biggest likes were the styling, the "performance" feel and look of the interior and just the general overall design .... still being farily "young" I didnt want to feel like I was driving a minivan but we definatly needed something to pull our camper and soon to purchase boat - we had a Kia Soul for that but we just traded that in for a 2012 Kia Optime Hybrid (1600kms to a tank!!!) Anyways ... going to parouse the site alil more

sexyRTboi
thanks rolly and AstralRT !! and yes, rolly, I test drove an '09 Journey FIRST before anything else and I honestly found myself comparing everyother SUV/CUV to the Journey and none just felt "right" - Ford Edge AND Freestyle - Suzuki XJL - Ford Escape - Lincoln MK(something) - Dodge Nitro (too big and lumbery) - Jeeps - Kia Sportage and the Sorento than when I got in the 2012 Journey R/T that was it ... I knew right away ! ---- I pick her up Friday morning at 9am !!!! --- cannot freakin' wait!!! ---- cleaning out the Mazda6 this afternoon getting ready to say goodbye to her.
