Traded our 09 for a 12

I traded in our 2009 SXT AWD for a 2012 SXT FWD. I am just glad to be rid of that 2009 lemon. The PTU(transfer case) just started leaking with no warranty so I cleaned it up and we traded it in. I have a supplier discount with 2500 in rebates and some money down to eat up the neg equity and I will be money ahead in the long run. I had replaced the radiator and had a transmission leak fixed and was looking at putting tires on it this fall. So now it's someone else's problem. Plus we like the look of the 2012 so much better, inside and out. And with the extended warranty I have bumper-to-bumper coverage til 75000 miles. We even got the same color, white.

While I am not excited about the 17" wheels, I am excited about the fact I can buy replacement tires for almost half of what the 19's cost and there is plenty of selection in brands. I thought the AWD was gonna be a good thing but it isn't worth the added grief here in Iowa. With good clearance and traction control I don't think we will have any problems with the FWD in Iowa winters.

Oh and if you ever come across a dealer that offers Auto4Life lifetime powertrain coverage, buy a real extended warranty. They should have covered the PTU failure but won't because it is leaking from a seal. And it doesn't cover seals or gaskets, even though the dealer told them that Chrysler says the PTU is non-servicable, meaning you have to replace the whole thing cause you can't just fix the seals.
