OhareFred
Hey all, Anyone else running into this problem? I have an 09 DJ with the REN 30 gig HHD. I just got a new I Pod nano 16 GB. When I try to upload songs to the REN via the USB cable, it gives me an error message, something like no I Pod detected (I'll update with the exact message when I can plug it back in) or "no songs on I POD (of course there are). Now, my 8GB Nano works OK. Sometime it won't download all the songs, or at least it won't show them. For example, I know there 89 songs on the playlist, but the car says 82. I have updated the radio software to 9.292 (actually re-installed it, been running that for awhile). Any ideas? I don't use the I POD in the car, that's why I have the HDD. OhareFred
OK, here is the exact error message "INVALID USB DEVICE DETECTED" , then I get "no music available for copying". Any ideas?
Rebus
I don't have experience with this exact issue, but have had similar issues with iPods not being recognized by other hardware/software, generally speaking. But, I would suggest ensuring that you have set the iPod to disk mode. As far as I have experienced, this is the only way that it will be recognized. OhareFred
Thanks for the reply. Tomorrow when I get home from work I'll try that.
OhareFred
Well, have the IPOD set to disk mode, old one works fine, still won't read the new one. Maddening.......
