Remove scratches from bumper

I have a few scratches in the black plastic piece under the rear bumper. Is there any way to remove them or at least make them less visable?

Depends on how deep the scratches are!

Minor ones should polish out with FINE

rubbing compound,deep ones may require

a body work additive(putty) such as GreenStuff

and a repaint with something such as Krylon.

Thanks bigtsr. The scratches are in the black plastic part under the painted bumper. Not in the painted body itself. I don't believe that its painted at all, just black plastic. Not sure if we are talking about the same area? Maybe I'll post a pic.

No I realize what part you were talking about and

that's why I said you would have to repaint it

back to black with something such as Krylon

which is made to fuse with plastic.

If I need to go that route (repainting) I'll leave it to the professionals as the car is only 6 months old. Hopefully I can buff most of it out. Thanks for your help. Will try this weekend.
