want2besrt Posted September 1, 2012 Report Share Posted September 1, 2012 Hey so im looking to see if anyone on here has done a rear mounted turbo on there 2011 and up 3.6L now ive heard of it done to the 3.6L Chrysler 200 but have not seen it on a journey is there any info that i can get to do this to mine the potential is a 80hp gain and 70fb at 16lbs of boost ??? With the headers built into the heads it will mean a major rework of the exhaust path and there is not a lot of room once you get past the firewall. onecrazyfoo4u Posted September 7, 2012 Report Share Posted September 7, 2012 Are you talking the turbo setups where they mount the turbo underneath the vehicle? Those setups aren't too efficient, you lose a lot of exhaust velocity when you mount it 5-8 feet down the exhaust tube, instead of ~1foot from the engine.
