During the hot summer the air was always on but every so often at startup the climate control would go into heating mode. The dealer could find no problem so I will wait for it to hppen again then try the warrenty procedure again.

Herb,

You're doing the right thing.

Often, if the dealer can't reproduce the issue, we will kindly ask the customer to bring it to the dealer's attention when the issue occurs, especially in very intermittent cases.

Let me know via PM if you require my assistance.

I noticed this happen to me once this summer on my rear climate system. Might have happened more often, but this particular time I had 6 people (2 per row) with outside temps approaching 40 with the Humidex and the center ceiling vents were blowing hot air for the first few minutes after startup. I wasn't until I started driving that those vents started blowing cold. The strange thing was the back/third row ceiling vents were colder then the center row vents, which indicates to me the air blows from back to front when equipped with the rear climate control system.

Well I brought this issue to my dealers attention but the tech couldn't find any problems and infact stated that during his tests my A/C was colder than spec.

Well needless to say I haven't noticed the issue since, possibly because the temps hasn't gone quite as high as it did that one particular day when I've had to drive somewhere with passengers in the back. Either way I will be keeping an eye on it, even though I doubt I'll reproduce anything before next summer now.
