siteczek
Just bougth 2012 Journey SXT 3.6. So far I like it but one thing annoys me a lot - vibrations on idle - either when on park or drive - I have only 1600kms on it. The funny thing is that those vibrations are very random - some times I can drive all day and everything is super smooth, next day I'm sitting in traffic and everything is shaking - even passenger can feel it.. Had Mitsu Endeavor before with 190000kms and almost no vibrations at all. I heard that this can be cured by some engine software upgrade and it is a common thing with 3.6 Pentastar. Any thoughts? BTW as for mileage computer shows 14L/100km (I'm driving 99% in the city) - did couple of trips using highway and it showed 11L/100km - I'm guessing it's pretty much normal. Thanks! redtomatoman
Be sure to have the dealer check the vibration. As for fuel consumption, mine improved a lot when I reached 8000 miles. Good luck.
pcrmike
Ditto on the fuel consumption. Ours has gone up 2.1 MPG in 3500 miles.
moparviens
Never felt any shake in my previous 200 at 75,000kms. got 1300 on my new 2012 rt awd rallye,so cant really comment on that yet. Would definately get the dealer to check into that as well. As far as the milage, I'm averaging 10L/100km in mine, almost as good as my 200 was. I'm running 12.642L/100km over 57 fill ups as per Fuelly. 2012 SXT with the 3.6L I'd be pissed too running 23.5!!! Official Dodge Support DodgeCACares Posted April 19, 2013 Official Dodge Support Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 I'll echo everyone's comments, There might be a few updates available for the software but the fact that it's intermittent is interesting. Maybe wouldn't hurt to consider fuel quality. Have you always fueled up at the same station? Maybe change for a few tanks...

I normally get my gas on co-op, ill try other gas company hope it will improve! I'll get back to you guys after my next tank!
Journey_SeXT
Use top tier gas stations like Shell, Esso, Petro- Canada and Chevron (if offered).
Chris1276
Ok! I will, thanks sext
onecrazyfoo4u
I don't use top tier gas stations...didn't see the need to pay $0.20-0.30 more per gallon. I get 24-25mpg regularly filling up at Fast Stop or AMPM.
Chris1276
Yes i know, i just wanna seal off all those possibilities that they think might cause with it.. So that when i come back to my dealership and discuss about it they will see that i tried some remedies... If it can improve i believe it wont be much difference. Average 24L/100 is brutal..... Almost double of what it says in the sticker!
migjeff
Sales person originally told me gas mileage was 8L/100km highway and 14 in the city
Robu
For fuel economy although not insanely recommended unless you know your not going to need to over take someone on highway. At around 75-80 you can manually put it into 6th gear to improve economy on highway some what.
bigtsr
Mine shifts to 6th at about 63 kph in auto!!!!!!!!!!!
