black2011
Here is my new MEGAN RACING exhaust. They make the best sounding systems period! Believe me, I have had many cars and tried many combinations. Sporty, throaty, and sounds like it should. I paid $220 for the hardware and $150 for the install. ENJOY! Moparman
Nice!! Sound clips? Is it a kit, or did you adapt the mufflers?
AstralRT
Very nice Whats the part number for the mufflers? I've been searching the Megan Racing website and found they have axle back exhaust systems and coil over systems for a Sienna but not specific for a Journey. Do they think a Sienna has more demands for performance upgrades than a Journey? Or is the Journey just set up well from the factory that it doesn't need as much help? zachlone
I too am interested in a sound clip and more info on where to buy?
black2011
The set-up is actually a custom install with twin mufflers, not a system made specifically for the Journey. Here is a link to where I bought the mufflers. http://meganracingwholesale.com/i-533661.aspx I have never posted a 'sound clip' before. I have an iPhone, not sure if I can upload a short video from there? It is definitely worth hearing! Grant

black2011
Ok. I recorded a video but it doesn't sound like it does in 'real life'. It sounds like a motorcycle in the video. I am gonna record another and post that. If u want to hear the original let me know. But honestly it sounds different when the motor is warm and the original was upon cold start up. I will update as soon as I can.

I will make a better one and post it soon as I have some free time. I hope this is what you were expecting from an iPhone recording and an amateur haha! Enjoy. Destination
that is a nice mellow sound. Seems like in person it might be similar to the way the new 305 hp V6 Mustang sounds stock. Am I correct?
ratorres79
how is sound like from his inside? highway speed drone sounds?

black2011
The sound definitely carries. It is loud in the cab and does drone at lower cruising speeds (35-45mph). It is a sporty set up and is not meant for everyone. My wife is cool with it, and I have a newborn who doesn't even flinch when he rides along. If you want quiet and only a loud noise at full throttle, then I would not recommend this set-up. Hope that helps. Ik.
ratorres79
cool thanks for the info. I know your busy but if get around to doing another video can you do it with exterior and interior audio. I know its asking for a lot so dont worry if you cant get to it. How did the garage install the new mufflers? weld them in?
Silver Thunder
What kind of difference did you notice in acceleration and shifting ? I've done exhaust on every single car I've owned but I don't know if I will do the DJ's exhaust. I'm just curious if you picked up noticeable horsepower/torque. Destination
I was prepared to do this until you stated "it is loud in the interior" and that it drones at lower cruising speeds. I think I'd prefer something more mellow. So thanks, you just saved me $350, haha.

Destination
I drove "droney" piped cars for 20 years, and toward the end it drove me nuts. But I've been in a couple friend's SUVs that only are loud when they get on it. I like that. would be nice if Borla made a system for the Journey. ratorres79
There is a tuner/exhaust company in Michigan that makes systems for the Ford Flex and could do a system for the journey but they need a customer in the area of Southeast Michigan. Anyone in that area? Speak to Scott at mrt-design.com
