cskynet
we all know that there are no commercially available lens headlights for our journey. ... but I found this ad : http://shop.justparts.com/ComparePrice/9/100007/10/100073/18/10/41/500321232/11/Lighting/12/Headlights?KeyWords=2009-2010+Hyundai+Sonata+Left+Headlight&BackToUrl=http%3a%2f%2fshop.justparts.com%2fCategory%2f9%2f100007%2f10%2f100073%2f32%2fMinPrice-desc%2f17%2f4%2f11%2fLighting%2f12%2fHeadlights%3ffq_MinPrice%3d%255B100%2bTO%2b120%255D appear identical in shape to ours, you think it is possible? I would like to install a xenon kit, but we know that maximum yield is with the lenticular.
Mcgusto82
No. Won't fit. Even if the size was right, the mounting would surely be different. What exactly do you want to add to your DJ, the projector lens? Cause you can buy a projector kit.
cskynet
To install a projector lens you have to open the headlight ... and would be a BIG BIG job !
Mcgusto82
No. I've open headlights b4. There's 2 methods. You can put them in an oven @ 200' for 15-25 minutes, and pull them apart. Or with a dremmel tool and a small cutting disc, cut along the adhesive edge. You can get a projector kit that'll fit into the 9006 bulb cut out. I mean, if you're confident, it's not that big of a job. If you want projectors, that's your only route. I think I'll do it myself once I get the radio mod done. cskynet
It's true ! Only one route ...but ... this work I had done on the dodge caliber and had not come good http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/69/28022010022.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/651/28022010024g.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/27/28022010023.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/62/dscf4173.jpg/ looks nice in the photos but also numerous water leaks and dirt have ruined in a short time
Mcgusto82
Just make sure when you're putting them back together, use a lot of RTV. If you can get yourself an irrigation syringe (no needle), it would help a million times.
