ratorres79
Hey guys, Just found an exhaust company that would be interested in developing an exhaust system for the 3.6 Journey. I spoke with Scott Hoag at mrt-direct.com, they have developed a couple of different system for other american cars but not the Journey. They currently have a nice system for the Ford Flex Ecoboost. Scott mentioned that they would be willing to develop a system but they need a customer in the South East Michigan area to bring a car over to work on. Anybody out there interested contact Scott and keep us updated. Check out the exhuast they made for the Flex, it sounds GOOD! I would be willing to purchase a system if they developed one
moparviens
Sounds pretty good, as long as the price is right
ratorres79
Their price listed for the Flex system is just over $500 which sounds reasonable.
black2011
Looks good. Looks like just a couple of new mufflers with a conversion to 3.5-4 inch inlet to the muffler. $500 sounds decent, depending on what type of muffler is used. Sounds like it will be loud in the cab as well.
moparviens
Thats resonable for basically just mufflers and labor i suppose, unless thats only the parts. My old man has a shop with a hoist so i could get the mufflers for around $2-300 and do it myself to save money. Installed a Cold Air Intake from my Dakota on the weekend and it sounds amazing inside the car when passing and just slightly noticable at regular driving(of course i'm always a bit of a lead foot when i have a car or truck that has balls and sounds good, also had a Flowmaster 40 series on my Dakota and it sounded awesome with the combo. So who knows, maybe i will put some kind of exhaust on the DJ soon.......hahaha
ratorres79
Yeah it looks like they specialize in "axle-back" systems but the interior sound is actually pretty good in Flex system. They a have video with audio from the front Driver perspective: see link
