habfan
Folks, just picked up my SXT from a local Chrysler dealership in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and really like it so far. The problem I've got is with Chyrsler financing. I ordered the vehicle at the end of April when chrysler financing had a promo rate of 3.9 over four years to purchase. Due to production delays I received the vehicle in mid-August but when I went to pick it up, the dealership informs me that Chrysler financing really isn't in the lending game anymore and the best rate I can get is about double the rate (8%) at a local bank! I was pretty upset since this adds a few thousand to my total cost over four years and wanted to ask folks on this forum if you've had similar experiences and if yes, have you had any success pursuing this through Chrysler or Chrysler Financing? I plan on pursuing this and will update as I go along. Other than that we're really liking the Journey!
Jeff5228
Something not quite right there. I bought my Journey last week. I ended up with a car loan from my bank at 6%, which beat the current Dodge dealer offer of 6.9%
TheStewie
I think they should be honouring the rate you were quoted if you put any kind of down payment on it. I took a quick peak at an ad from the dealer we got the car from and they are charging 7.8% for 84 months on the "Family Pricing" sale this week so Chrysler must have upped the baseline charges. We are in Ontario and though they are trying to get out of cheap leases you can still get bank money or lines of credits very cheap. Ours is 4.75% so if all I could get is 8% I'd be maxing out that line instead but the lease was 3.99 so we went with that.
