Srtified, Engine idle speed will vary depending on engine temp, A/C on or off, etc. Chrysler targets for as low an RPM as possible to reduce fuel usage and Greenhouse Emissions. It helps but what you're telling me is at a stoplight my rpms will be lower and at highway speed, they'll be higher....Really??? No kidding!!! I sorta knew that, lol!! So it seems that my idle speed is typical...I don't like it being that low!!! I live in a cold climate and with short trips I'd like to see that idle up a little bit, say 650-700 or so.
