Finally a Dodge Journey owner :)

Hi everyone

Well I finally got the car I've wanted for the last 2 years. In September 2010, my dad and I embarked on an epic 4 week 5000 mile road trip around the western United States. We picked up our rental vehicle at SFO, we had a choice of 4 - 5 vehicles, and I chose a Dodge Journey. I was under a fair bit of pressure as I was very nervous at having to drive on the right for the first time.

Well I couldn't have chosen a better vehicle; I fell in love with the Journey right there and then. That said the journey back to downtown San Francisco from SFO was the scariest thing I have ever done. Anyway, back to the present day. I'd looked to buy a Dodge Journey last year, but they were just out with my price range so settle for 2006 Honda Civic Type S GT, a good car but not what I really wanted. I kept the Civic for the last year, and sold it this November.

Last week I spotted the perfect vehicle at a local Mercedes dealer, a 2010 Inferno Red Dodge Journey SXT 2.0 manual diesel. It was just outside my price range, but the dealer could tell I wanted it, (it was an upgraded SXT demo model, including rear reversing camera, satellite navigation and built in HDD), we negotiated and low and behold SOLD, same price, but a great interest rate :)

Got the vehicle yesterday afternoon, and very happy with it. Sadly Dodge was withdrawn from the UK by Fiat in 2010, but the vehicle is still supported at Chrysler dealers, however this does mean I won’t be able to upgrade the vehicle in the future, better enjoy it while it’s all newish :)
