biohazard
We have owned this for 2 1/2 years now and have loved every minute of it. We tow a POP UP camper and had the prep package installed, hooked up a hitch and have had no trouble with towing at all. We also have the 2nd row booster seats that we love as if someone comes into the car all we have to do is drop em down and away we go. The sunroof is a must have as it offers a great view while night time driving up in northern canada. My only real beef is with the brakes(which im sure you all have similar issues with pre mature wear) and the general fact that they are made in MEXICO and not fully supporting local jobs, but for the price point by far the best crossover out there. we are currently in process of ording a 2013 so I will be giving my impression of that after the summer and all our camping trips

lord journey
sorry, but I don´t get "...and the general fact that they are made in MEXICO" LOL Is it bad??? I owned a 2009 and now a 2012 Journey and I love it!! but I don´t see a difference between a mexican o american factory, all plants are Chrysler pride plants!! :D remember, the all mighty HEMI and a good proportion of Pentastar are made in MX!! LOL
Brucebotti
I don't think the fact that they are made in Mexico is a bad thing quality wise. I agree that it would be better for all of us if they were made in the USA or Canada. It would be nice to put more Americans and Canadians to work. Just my $.02...! biohazard
the last comment is exactly what im talking about when i say made in mexico... Its not a bad thing but it would be nice to know im supporting more local jobs... I live in windsor where the dodge minivan is made and would love to see more factories to create more jobs locally but it is what it is... and actually I work at a mold shop where we made the mold for the intakes they use on the journey so i guess in a way they did support localing when it comes to the desgin, just not the finished product... pcrmike
Also, many of the engine components are coming back here. The Daimler days moved things like camshafts and connecting rods and more to China and such, but the new admins are moving more parts back here. :-)
biohazard
it frustrates me as a MOLD MAKER to see a job come through our shop (journey intake for one) that our shop had outsourced in china to have the steel pastic injection molds made, then we get it here in North America and stamp MADE IN USA on the mold, inject it here and ship it to mexico... I would like to see a future where we support local and mean it !!! CANADA and USA both have a high unemployment rate and things like this could help jump start our local economy.
