Henrik Smedberg
Hi guys, I am a newbie here on this forum and have just completed my first 2000km with my Fiat Freemont FWD and a 140hp diesel. I really enjoy the car and many of its practical capabilities and its comfort. However there are a few things that bother me and one is the ESP and antispinn function. I feel that the behaviour of the system is that it is very late to correct the behaviour of the car. This is compared to my other cár that is a BMW 5-serie where both antispinn and ESP corrects much earlier and in a nice and gentle way. When I provoke the systems on a icy/snowy road on the Freemont I am not impressed. Is there anybody with similar experience and does anybody know if there will be some updates of the system? drb227
It is what it is and I doubt it will change much, if any. It is after all, a Fiat/Dodge and not a BMW.
oracle
I noticed that too but in my opinion is spot on, I hate when the ESP kicks in immediately.. like my old CRV was a joke, totally oriented for women if you ask me.. I like that feeling of driving the car and when I push too much then the ESP saves me.... so for me is perfect and nothing to fix
Henrik Smedberg
Wow - "oriented to women" . Very impressive argumentation...... If you ask me if I want ESP on my FordGT40 and the answer is no. /Henrik ,
lord journey
IMO, is calibrated to the SUV orientation... for example, is very different the ESP and TC in my journey VS the ESP and TC reaction of my Dodge Charger R/T.... :P
