walker
When tires are rotated, do the pressure sensors need to be reset, or do they somehow know where the wheel positions were moved to?

Journey_SeXT
Moparman is right. Drive it around for awhile and they will automatically be detected....your owners manual will give you more info about it.
walker
Thanks for the replies. The manual doesn't address the tire rotation question....Unless I missed that part!
Journey_SeXT
You're right it doesn't specifically mention the tire rotation but it does mention replacing a tire with info on how long and fast you need to drive for the sensors to automatically detect. I would assume it would also apply to a tire rotation once tires are set to its new location. Once you repair or replace the original road tire and reinstall it on the vehicle in place of the compact spare, the TPMS will update automatically. In addition, the “Tire Pressure Monitoring Telltale Light” will turn off and the graphic in the EVIC will display a new pressure value instead of dashes (- -), as long as no tire pressure is below the low-pressure warning limit in any of the four active road tires. The vehicle may need to be driven for up to 20 minutes above 15 mph (24 km/h) in order for the TPMS to receive this information. walker
Yes that addresses putting tthe repaired wheel/tire back in the same location it was removed from. But I would imagine if it can update itself there, it should update for any wheel or wheels. I suppose I could dump some air from one tire to see if it reads the correct location, but I'm just too darn lazy! wolfpup2019
I had new tires put on my Journey, now I am getting lots of different pressure readings on the dash panel. Even thought I checked the tire pressures with a new gauge and pressure was correct, I get low pressure on the dash panel for driver side front, then it will change to another tire, or several tires. Is there a way to reset the dash panel.
jkeaton
They should have offered to replace the sensors when changing the tires. You don't mention the age of your vehicle. It could be time to replace them, At any rate, I would take it back to the tire installer and question them. 2late4u and larryl

Easy... you paid to get this done, let them figure it out. jkeaton
