Scott Lowthorp
Not happy at all with the Journey 82,000 miles While driving yesterday we hear a couple of "clinks" and then a high pitch whine. I pull over to whats going on only to find oil pouring out of the bottom of the vehicle. Not knowing what it was, I shut it off and called a tow truck. Mechanic looked at it today and found something broke in the transfercase and was shot out of the bottom. New transfer case being installed this week. Journey_SeXT
Nope Sorry to hear that. Is the transfer case not a part of the powertrain? Wouldn't that be covered under a 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty? Edited January 8, 2013 by Journey_SeXT

Well, seeing 1949 has 82,000 miles and the Journey started in 2009 then regardless the year he/she should be covered under the factory powertrain warranty. Right? erik09sxt
We had an 09 SXT AWD as well and ours started leaking at the transfer case. We had bought it used as well. I ended up trading it in for a new 12 SXT FWD. Dodge needs to rethink their AWD systems.
