2013 R/T from Saskatchewan Canada

Hi all,

New to the Dodge family and new to this forum.

We chose the 2013 R/T in Winter Chill. She's pretty! Fully loaded.

We're coming from a 2005 Ford Freestyle that we loved. When we were car shopping, we looked at everything from the Terrain/Equinox/Escape/Venza/Santa Fe to the Traverse/Acadia/Flex/Edge. We originally thought we would go smaller than the Freestyle but when we started driving, we found we wanted the third row seat, but didn't want to go as big as the Traverse/Acadia, or spend as much as the Flex etc. When we got into the Journey, well, she wrapped her leather heated arms around us and we were sold. The biggest things on our wish list were the AWD and DVD that we were accustomed to in the Freestyle. We got so much more than that! We're getting it undercoated because we live in Saskatchewan so salt is an issue and fabric-protected because we have two small kids that are perpetually messy.

Looking forward to exploring this forum further...

Not sure where you live :cold: but, I have lived in Regina all my life, and Saskatchewan doesn't use very much salt on it's roads (due to the fact our winters are cold and the temp. rarely goes over 0°C throughout the winter) when compared to even Calgary where I also lived for a couple of years. If you want to see salt being used, go to Montreal (where my brother lives). They use 2x in a day than what we use all winter.

I wasn't saying you're wrong, just curious that's all.

Terry
