hereticj
Just wanted to give a quick thanks to this board for all the help. I recently had to get a new set of tires, to do away with those Kumho's. Based on the advice of several here, I ended up getting a set of Michelin Latitude Tour HP, 235/55/19, from Costco. http://tires2.costco.ca/product.aspx?ItemNo=191182&SearchID=9369f7f8-4890-4e33-be27-dee421b584d7 Cost me around $1160 for the set. They fit perfect and I have not had any issues yet. Much better ride than the Kumho's. They were difficult to find in the city, but one location had a set left because another Journey owner ordered them in, then changed his mind last minute. On a side note, here's what sort of forced me into getting new tires. Picked up this bad-boy in a pothole here in Edmonton: Yes, that IS a brake pad. sunny1292
i've been thinking of putting 235s on my r/t as well. Do they look wider by a fair amount?
redtomatoman
So the kumho tire took that and did not rupture? I'd say to all those that are down on kumhos, that's freakin' impressive. Maybe I'll really like my next set of tires, but I have nearly 23000 miles on my kumhos and they still look new. There may be better tires out there, but the kumhos have been good on my DJ. I will likely replace my kumhos with something else, but I hate the idea that my speedo will have a slight error due to size difference. Peace. hereticj
@sunny1292 They dont look wider at all to me. @redtomatoman The speedo difference is so negligible that it was well worth it, for the ease of finding tires, and the price difference. Its less than 1km/h for me.
