MOSC842
Hello everyone, Just recently purchased a 2010 Journey R/T and have little to no complaints at the moment. I have read numerous negative comments and many warnings about certain things but figured that was not the majority just the minority. I read tons about brake issues ( Replacement pads) and was curious if there is a pad that might last longer when it is time to replace them. Also I have noticed I believe to be the floor sill was screwed down by the previous owner. I have caught my shoe twice and would like to replace it. I want to say it is the floor sill but have no idea as I have never encountered this problem. Thanks so much and looking forward to contributing to the forum. Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike Mike, I'm not sure what you mean. A picture would help! Thanks, Bruce
bigtsr
He's referring to the sill step plate. It's held on by plastic clips most likely broken off by previous owner hence the screws. Should be able to order new one from Mopar.
webslave
My '13 and probably the '12's doesn't have a sill plate, just the painted sill. I'm thinking of adding the after-market SS type to protect the paint...
bigtsr
No the part that actually holds the carpet in place at door entrance is what I was referring to,my '11 has it and I have had it off. I'm sure that is what OP was referring to.
webslave
OK... I'd call that lip molding, but, know what you're talking about now. Dodge does have an "optional" sill plate, and I've seen 3rd party versions; some say "Dodge" and I saw one that said "Journey". Those are what I was thinking of when I saw "sill plate"...
