Hello, my name is Marc and I recently retired from the Navy.

I am curently residing in Yokosuka, Japan and hate to leave (especially my car which is a 98 Subaru Impreza STi), but I am stateside bound.

I am picking up a 2013 Journey SXT in Storm Gray Pearl with the Blacktop package and am totally excited, this will be my first new car and am hopeful that I can be won back over to American cars after having owned Nissan and Subaru cars for the past 20 years.

Looking at being a member of the forums and hope that you can all point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Hi Marc,

Welcome to the forum, lots of good info and members willing to share. Congratulations on your retirement and your new Journey. We got our Copper Pearl Coat 2013 SXT in December. I can tell you that we are loving our Journey and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Tha wait is killing me too...and we only ordered ours last month! Due in any day now. Copper Pearl over Black FWD Crew with Nav/Sound group/flex seating/sunroof/chrome clad wheels and towing prep. Hitch and splashguards to be installed at shop.

Thats almost same as r/t less leather seats and AWD... Just curious on what made stay away from r/t trim... Did you get a way better deal with the crew!

Its great you can leather in a Crew

I have a Crew in transit now and I'm going to put aftermarket leather in because in Canada you can only get leather in an RT which only comes with AWD as Chrysler thinks thats what all

Canadians want

I'm surprised by the lack of choice. Just because your're in Canada does not mean snow 24/7. Plus, you're properly equipped to handle frequent snow when it does occur. We have plenty of snowy winters here but the terrain in our area is flat. We've never been stuck in snow with either of our 300M's so skipping AWD and saving $1800.00 was an easy decision. As for the leather, it is standard equipment now on the Crew, along with a heated steering wheel.

We added Katzkin leather seats to a 2011 Crew a couple of years ago for a customer and it is absolutely beautiful. Still the nicest Journey interior I've ever seen. I should take some pictures next time she's at my shop.

I take that you got a new Journey and got rid of the one that was getting such poor mileage. Did you ever find a solution?
Hi Terry,

Im still having my journey.. The fuel efficiency problen is still there also,, though im seeing little improvement still its higher than than what we're expecting... Im getting 19L/100km on my recent fill up with shell compared what i got last time w/c was 24L/100km best!

The qoute you just read about waiting is killing him i think Journeyman!

That is correct! And I'm the first to admit the wait hasn't been all that long compared to some of what I've read here. We ordered April 6th, built on the 25th and the car was due to my dealership today (13th) but did not come. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I ordered my R/T May 3rd. I got the email saying it was scheduled for proiduction may 20th. I have an estimated ship date on June 7. I am hoping for the best. I have heard some rough stories on here as far as wait times go.

I read those stories, too. I think there were some issues with the various transportation companies involved in shipping the completed vehicles from Toluca where they are assembled. I ordered mine on April 6. It entered D1 status (scheduled for build) on the 11th. Built on the 25th and shipped that day. Arrived in NJ Depot on May 8. Then, it sat there for a week and arrived at my dealership on the 16th. I took delivery on the 18th. It took about a week longer to build and deliver to me that my 300M did back in 2000. If you know your VON (vehicle order number) PM it to me and I might be able to track it for you. Not sure if I'm able to do that if it is not ordered through my dealership, but I can try. You should be OK. We have another Journey on order for stock and the turn-around time is currently only about 10-14 days longer than mine. Sold orders have priority over stock.
