smarshall2013
No mine does it all the time hot or cold and idle it does it no matter what so when it was in to get cd player replaced I asked him about this and he said that the lifters needed to be replaced and that if there is any damage done to the motor then it will get fixed when its in there he said that it would be in there for a couple of days and they are going to provide me with a loaner vehicle to drive while mine is being repaired
Addicted to Dodge
My 2012 has started ticking for just a quick second after start up. Your lucky they are willing to give you a loaner vehicle, my local dealer told me they would rent me one so we could leave it over night to let them hear the problem. I hope this is not the case with my DJ. Might have to bite the bullet and let them look at it asap just to make sure.
smarshall2013
Yeah man that sucks I didnt ecen ask about a loaner vehicle the guy told me it would be in for a couple of days getting everything fixed. He said when you drop off the one there will be a vehicke waiting for you to drive. Well I wasnt going to complain about that, and to think this isn't even the dealee I bought my journey from. I will be purchasing my next vehicle from them even though I do live about 3 hours from them now.
Addicted to Dodge
I love Chrysler vehicles but honestly some of the local dealers here in North Ga. are some of the most crooked, heartless people you could meet. I live only a few miles from our local dealer and they are the worse. But I have had great luck with the Dodge products so I will have to hold back any choice words I might be enticed to say towards them. Keep us posted on the outcome with your Journey.... smarshall2013

BTW sorry to hear about your friends. It's very sad to hear when someones negligence results in a loss of life. smarshall2013
Addicted to Dodge
Well its offical my journey will be going into the shop friday for lifters, rockers arms and cd player to be fixed.....hopefully they wont find anything else while they are in the engine will keep everyone posted on the progress......hope everyone continues to have good luck out of their journey.......on a side note everyone the weather is warming up please keep an eye out for motorcycles they are out and about.....lost 2 good great friends last week in a motorcycle wreck because a girl was texting and driving......hope everyone has safe trips and travels That's good the dealer is going to fix your Journey without any hassle. Hope it gets you back on the road without any future problems. And I really hate to hear about your friends, as I know all to well of motorcycles and the danger of other people not looking out for them. Me, my wife, and kids witnessed a motorcycle crash last year and the motorcycle rider died later that night in the hospital. I didn't know him but it was a horrific sight and it took awhile to stop thinking about it. Once you think about things like this it kinda makes a problem with a car seem really not much of a big deal. smarshall2013

smarshall2013
Yeah they did and are taking care of everything including the payment for the body shop........so my cd player works but they also screwed up the independent air controls the driver side will turn the temp up but not down....the passenger will will turn down but not up......you have to select all the controls you would like to use for the climate through the touch screen not by the dial knobs......so yeah they will be taking care of everything now and I still get to keep a loaner for the 2 weeks that it will be in the shop at their expense

smarshall2013
Well my journey will be in the shop for 2 weeks and I made them give me a loaner vehicle. Since I work and live out of town they said I couldnt take it out of town but since they dropped the bay door on the front of mine I am now in a 2008 dodge avenger for the 2 weeks that mine is in the shop and they let me take it out of town. Car runs great and I kinda like may think about buying it also....lol
Addicted to Dodge
To bad about the dealer. Dealers really are suppose to have the best technology to work on cars but unfortunately common sense goes further than all the technology in the world. I really hope they start to use some to get your Journey back on the road without future problems. Good luck... smarshall2013
