IamtheDave
Greetings! I am looking for any tips or tricks on removing the driver and passenger front seats. Like most, they simply unbolt but some have hairy connections that you can't just disconnect. Thank you in advance!
onecrazyfoo4u
Just curious, why are you removing them?
IamtheDave
Going to install a basic audio system. One 4 channel amplifier to run the doors and a self powered woofer in the back. I think installing the amp under the seat is going to be the best route.
bigtsr
DISCONNECT the DJs battery as the seats/active head supports are linked to airbag system. Better safe than sorry!
nerner
I installed my amp under the driver seat without having to remove the seat. Just removed those lower trim pieces by the door sills to run my wires and insert them under the carpet.
IamtheDave
Nerner, How did you secure the amplifier? I was going to take a piece of wood, carpet it to match the factor color and screw it down. Then mount the amp to the board... I guess I could slide the amp in under the seat without removing it however I wouldn't know how to hold it down.

I slid a block of wood under the carpet, about 1/2" thick then then I bolted the amp onto it.
