2011 or 2012 Journey Crew

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a 2011 Journey Crew in Blackberry Pearl. I have been looking at the 2011-2012 models because I like the V6 Pentastar engine. My wife has a 2011 Grand Caravan crew edition and the engine is amazing!

Other than the different look of the front bumper are there any compelling reasons to go with the 2012? Mechanical differences? Small fixes/changes in the 2012?

By the way the 2011 crew I am looking at has every option except leather and they are asking $18,500 (26,000 miles). It looks like a really good deal. Anything I should check out visually that might tip me off to some known issues that it may have?

Thanks for the help.

I agree! Follow ur gut and/ or better deal. Dodge journey gets a little better year after year but all in all its always a good vehicle.

I just bought my 2012 and after couple of months and.. Bam!! ,,There's 2013 with heated steering wheel and better nav and uconnect i heard. With lower msrp! Not confirmed coz im happy with my 2012 and i dont want to regret! Lol

My '11 DJ is almost 2 yrs old and other then 1 return visit to the dealer

all I do is change the oil and put gas in it, on a forum you'll find happy and frustrated

owners so you really have to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

Brake components are probably the topic most concerns are posted about

of course software (these are big laptops) updates and the "I wish" are the next

most posts.

Looks like a reasonable (negotiable) price for the milage,, check Kelleys Black Book

current going price recommended prices.

My gut says that this is a good deal...

The only real issue I see now is the brakes. I called Dodge to check out all the warranty repairs done on the vehicle. It appears that the car has the "brake issue". Rotors and pads have been done twice on the vehicle. I'll be replacing those right way on all four corners. Hopefully someone in these forums has found the right combination of aftermarket parts???
