redtomatoman
I just got my 2 year maintenance completed on my 2011 and all was fine. Even my pads and rotors. Subsequently, I was looking through the maintenance schedule in my owners manual and I noticed that nowhere is it recommended to do an alignment. Rotations are certainly recommended, but not alignments. Anyone know why? Just wondering. Peace.
Rgwog
I havent seen alignment listed in annual maintenance for years. Most FWD vehicles when needed, need a four wheel alignment which can be expensive. The only time alignment is needed is when you see evidence, such as tire wear pulling, crashes, or worn parts. I have a 05 Pontiac GTP with over 150000 mi on the clock and have never had it on the rack for alignment. So unless you are having problems money saved. Journeyman425
He's correct. My 2000 300M had its first wheel alignment following the replacement of worn inner and outer tie rod ends - at 158,000 miles. Now, at 282,000 I have another bad inner tie rod on the left side, and will align it again after that is replaced. Otherwise, it has never needed it and it tracks perfectly fine.
