davidlb512
Nice!!! So you installed one Flowmaster, and ran twin pipes to the rear? How exactly is the exhaust set up? Are those mufflers or resonators that are closest to the rear bumper cover? Potlicquor

BlackTopJourney13
Cant even hear on highway. Its the loudest between 2500-3000 rpms. Not high pitched at all though, just deep. I'm gonna remove the resonator to see what it sounds like. Will update when I do. UcantBme, MMMiller and Salgado
black2011
I'm sure the video doesn't do the exhaust justice. I'm sure it will sound better once u put some miles on it. My Megan Racing exhaust sounds much better 6 months later. Here is a short clip. Xenophon, Ramrob1983, UcantBme and 1 other
BlackTopJourney13
Yeah I like that! Did u keep the resonator on? UcantBme

sexyRTboi
I was just going to post a thread asking about straight piping my 2012 R/T ...... your BT sounds incredible!! ... me coming from a modified car scene, I had all sorts of different exhausts and "fart cans" on my old cars ... with the R/T I've been dieing to do something with the exhaust and was hoping a simple straight pipe would do the trick ..... Im thinking its as easy as cut off the factory mufflers, weld on pipes and add nice tips ..... am I missing something here? Not going for the big V8 truck sound, but something that will give my R/T alittle bit of a rumble ... something that I can HEAR the 283 horsies ..... So am I wrong in thinking its as simple as cutting off and welding on just straight pipes ???? or is there more to it ? Potlicquor
superkeggler
Did you use a CENTER (single) in and CENTER (single) out? What diameter Super 40 did you use also? LOVE the sound and the look. Did it throw off any idiot lights on the dash by chance? Thanks bro!!!!! Potlicquor
BlackTopJourney13
Used the offset muffler with both on same side, 2.5 in and out. No lights at all and still sounds great!
sexyRTboi
bump for my question ..... lol ... thanks
BlackTopJourney13
Oops, sorry... what I would do is try that and if u dont like it, weld in the flowmaster! Leave the resonator on for now tho... dont want that high pitch
CrossRoad14
I just bought a 2014 journey crossroad and am very interested in doing the flow master muffler, I was wondering how it worked out and how difficult it was removing the rear mufflers? Also did you keep the resonator? Potlicquor
travis9935
Why not just leave the resonator in and go straight pipe back from that? I had the Magnaflow kit on my 12 Avenger, I removed their resonator after the install, sounded alot better! More deeper! But I also had straight thru mufflers on my dj (see my pics) and it sounded even better than my Avenger. But I had to remove them cause they interfered with my new hitch. But I will prob put them back on cause I miss the growl! Turns out I probably won't be using my hitch very often. CrossRoad14
So I removed the mufflers and replaced with a single flowmaster super 44 and ran dual strait pipes to the rear I kept the resonator on. And it sounds great I was very impressed with how loud and deep the exhaust tone is. Potlicquor

CrossRoad14
5zigen That sounds really good! Is that just a muffler if full exaust replace? Also where are you living with so much snow? Potlicquor and 5zigen
5zigen
It's built custom by a shop from the end to the front... Short exhaust, no resonator... Sound great but searching to change more the sound with a custom headers. And, I live in North quebec, in Canada close of a iron mine.
