redtomatoman
Does anyone use a vehicle tent with their DJ? Which one? How's the fit. Any paint damage? Anything that I should know? I am thinking about getting one but I'm not sure if there is any real advantage over my regular camping tent. Just wondering what other's experience is. Also, my main question is how the DJ will do with the rear gate door open all night or for extended periods of time. Will this wear on the battery? I know our DJs wake up whenever a door is opened or anything is changed in any way. TIA. Peace.
Journeyman425
You can disable the interior lights altogether by rotating the rheostat on the dash all the way down. This way, the lights don't wake up if you open a door. From the owner's manual: Dimmer Control The dimmer control is part of the headlight switch and is located on the left side of the instrument panel. Rotating th dimmer control upward with the parking lights or headlights on will increase the brightness of the instrument panel lights, door map pockets and cupholders (if equipped). Dome Light Position Rotate the left dimmer control completely upward to the second detent to turn on the interior lights. The interior lights will remain on when the dimmer control is in this position. Interior Light Defeat (OFF) Rotate the dimmer control to the extreme bottom off position. The interior lights will remain off when the doors are open. Parade Mode (Daytime Brightness Feature) Rotate the dimmer control upward to the first detent. This feature brightens all text displays such as the odometer, EVIC (if equipped), and radio when the parking lights or headlights are on.
